Danish Friendship Portraits From Rome
Circolo Scandinavo's exceptional collection of drawn friendship portraits from Rome from the 19th century is coming up for Liveauction at Bruun Rasmussen 10 June 2024. The collection consists of more than seventy portraits and extends seven decades of art history – from the Danish Golden Age in the first half of the 19th century to the Naturalism and Modern Breakthrough of the late 19th century.

Hammer Prices and Museum Acquisitions
The first Live Auction of the year in Lyngby has just come to an end, having produced a large number of surprising hammer prices and museum acquisitions. The real high jumper was a ceramic sculpture by Axel Salto, which went for an impressive hammer price of DKK 2.1 million.

From Auction House to Museum
Going, going, gone … sold to the gentleman on the back row! We’re all familiar with the expression used by the auctioneer to indicate the acceptance of a final bid for an item in Lyngby. The works of art and design classics at our auctions are often purchased by a Danish or international museum or cultural institution. A Jens Juel portrait was recently acquired at our Live Auction of Fine Art by the Larvik Museum (Norway).

Sharing a passion for contemporary art, Jens-Peter Brask, a number of the most influential names on the Danish contemporary art scene, and Bruun Rasmussen have teamed up to raise funds for Børns Vilkår.
